OWLS Outdoors Without LimitS Home Education group 5-10 yrs

Owls (Outdoors Without LimitS) is our fun and friendly forest school drop off session for home educated children. Owls is aimed at children aged around 5-10yrs, and meets weekly on a Tuesday morning during term time.

Based at the peaceful secret garden in Fishbourne, a 2 minute drive from the big Tesco roundabout in Chichester, this private space is just for the forest school so children are free to explore, build, hide, cook, make or just relax. Our ethos is very much one of child-led learning so there is no pressure to do any of the many activities offered each week, children are free to follow their own learning. The sessions are led by 2 experienced forest school leaders who adapt their approach to facilitate each child’s learning.

Children take part in a number of activities including nature activites, bug hunting, stream dipping, mud kitchen, wood craft and use of tools, den building, pulleys and ropes, hammocks and rope swings. fire lighting, camp fire and cooking.

Forest school encourages physical and emotional development and has been shown to build confidence, self esteem, social and emotional skills and a love of nature.
